Training pathways and opportunities

You’ll have access to opportunities designed to help you gain skills, qualifications and experience for your future. Through MSD’s Youth Service, we support young people who are not currently in employment, education or training (NEET) to explore their options and connect with education, training and work-based learning opportunities.

We can also connect you with opportunities designed to help you gain skills, qualifications and experience. This may include Māori and Pasifika Trade Training, fees-free study options, apprenticeships and Manaaki tangata wrap-around support to help you succeed while you learn and work.

How we do this

Together with your Kaiārahi (mentor), you’ll create a personalised pathway plan that identifies your goals, strengths and any barriers that may affect your learning or employment journey. We’ll help you access the right services, navigate challenges and connect with opportunities that support your success. You’ll receive guidance and encouragement to stay on track with your learning, training and career goals.
